The Riven Lands is an actual-play which takes place within a massive collaborative narrative project using Daggerheart as the base system. The stream takes place within the same world as multiple other off-stream tables and their characters. We also have play-by-post games updated daily, and we're even inviting play-by-mail participation so everyone can get involved at a pace they're comfortable with.
When you play in The Riven Lands your actions have consequences within a world inhabited by dozens of other players. If Group A burns down a village, Group B might stumble upon the ruins, and Group C might be hired to track down the bandits who did it. The world itself is a mix of Game of Thrones, The Witcher, and Romance of the Three Kingdoms. The fantastical lands are ruled over by a dozen factional noble houses. The realm is populated by horrible beasts and there's much business to be made in hunting them. And victory on the battlefield is determined as much by tactical brilliance as it is by the physical strength of an army. Players are invited to take on whatever role suits them. Noble house leaders, army generals, or just adventurers travelling the lands. A war between two houses could involve multiple real world players ambitions at fictional politics, and affect the games of multiple other real world players as their characters try to navigate in a war torn land.
Find a pace that works for you! Join a live table and play in regularly scheduled weekly or bi-weekly sessions. Join for play-by-post and enjoy narrative updates at your own pace. Or participate in play-by-mail and receive weekly or monthly updates on your characters exploits, submitting "moves" for them to make until your next update. Then, catch the show and see what's going on in the world. Your characters may even make an appearance as NPCs!
